Today’s gold Price: Will gold hit $1,000
Gold hits new lows today ($1147 per ounce) as a stronger US dollar pushes down the lid, combined with weak crude oil prices.
Crude oil is at its lowest price in two years as global demand slows especially China coupled with Saudi Arabia out of the blue slashing oil prices sold to America. This move some say is a bid to push out those American firms selling shale gas to enhance their share of the US market. Gold historically has followed crude oil prices and seems to have continued this trend.
Many investors are now wondering whether the gold price will hit $1000 as the dollar goes from strength to strength and commodities weaken.
